Nestled between the majestic Mount St. Helena and the Mayacamas Mountains, Knights Valley sits between the two as a secret haven for production of some of the worlds greatest Cabernet Sauvignon. The unique terrain offering complex volcanic soil rich in iron and potassium provides the perfect environment for vineyard growth and production. Additionally, as one of the warmest AVA’s (American Viticulture Area) in Sonoma County complimented by cool nights Knights Valley is the ideal micro-climate for excellent wine production.

WINEMAKING
Great wine starts with great grapes. Our winemaking philosophy is to respect the terroir and only use the highest quality fruit which is hand picked at the optimal time. We strive for as little manipulation as possible in the winemaking process as Knights Valley AVA produces some of the highest quality grapes in the world and we want them to take the center stage and shine.

VINEYARD
MANAGEMENT
Ross Ranch has nearly 10 acres of premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes across what we refer to as “Barn” and “Creek” blocks. We selected Cabernet Sauvignon clones 4 and 7 which were field budded onto 3309 rootstock. Clones 4 and 7 produce high quality fruit with a balanced crop load when paired with 3309 rootstock. 3309 is the perfect fit for our soils to produce the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon.
​Our vineyard was developed with and is farmed with sustainability as a number one priority. We use the best management practices to care for the vines and the land to ensure a productive and sustainable future.
We are very fortunate to have the father/son team of Alex and Ben Vyborny of Vyborny Vineyard Management from the very beginning planting our vineyard and now to providing it with the very best care and attention.
